SAFETY
INVIROX Dog training gear is 100 % SAFE. Every batch tested carefully in Lab & Field.
Yes, when used correctly. INVIROX is designed to be a communication tool, not a punishment device. The safest path is: teach commands first (sit, come, place), fit the collar properly, start with tone or vibration, and only increase intensity if your dog truly needs it. If your dog is fearful, reactive, or has aggression issues, work with a qualified trainer so timing and levels don’t create stress. We're not in the magic wands industry, but in the dog training one. Use your training tools with respect and deep understanding of our INVIROX dog training methodology.
Fit it snug enough that the contact points touch the skin, but not tight enough to pinch. You should be able to slide one finger under the strap. For safety, don’t leave the collar in the exact same spot every day, rotate it slightly, and check your dog’s neck daily for redness, hair loss, or irritation.
If you use it correctly, no. If you use it wrong, yes, you can scare or stress your dog. Train yourself before training your dog. Advise from a PRO dog trainer if needed.
The right way: INVIROX is a communication tool, not a punishment tool. You start at the lowest level your dog can notice, and you use it to reinforce commands your dog already understands.
Never do this: Don’t press buttons because you’re angry, don’t “test” random levels on your dog, and don’t use high levels to force behavior your dog hasn’t been taught.
Stop immediately if your dog yelps, freezes, panics, shuts down, or shows fear, that means your level, timing, or training foundation is wrong.
Start slow and build a clean foundation:
- Teach the command on leash first, then add INVIROX as a “tap on the shoulder.”
- Begin with tone (or low vibration) paired with the command, then reward.
- Use short sessions: 5–10 minutes.
- Don’t use the collar to “stop” a dog that doesn’t understand the command yet.
If you want, treat INVIROX as tone/vibration only at first.
Common issues usually come from speed and timing:
- Too high too soon: start low and only increase if needed.
- Bad timing: pressing after the behavior ended teaches confusion.
- Using it for punishment: this can create fear and worsen behavior.
- Poor fit: causes inconsistent communication or irritation.
Fix these and you’ll avoid 80 percent of “this collar isn’t working” problems.
This is usually one of these: fit, distraction level, or the dog doesn’t understand the command yet. Try:
- Re-check fit, contact points must touch skin.
- Move to a quieter place, train under lower distraction first.
- Pair cue + low stimulation + reward, then fade rewards gradually.
- Increase intensity only slightly and only if you’re sure the dog understands.
If you’re outdoors with heavy distractions, build up to that environment in steps. Give your dog better enviroment to work with, dog park is not one of them!
Stop and reset. Fear means something is off, usually level too high, bad timing, or the dog doesn’t understand. Go back to basics: tone or low vibration only, pair with known commands, reward heavily, and keep sessions short. If fear continues, pause use and work with a PRO dog trainer.
Use the INVIROX remote safety jeypad lock whenever you’re not actively training. Keep the remote oriented the same way every time in your hand or pocket, and do “dry reps” without the dog, meaning practice lock on, lock off, button placement, and mode switching so you never guess under pressure.
This happens when your dog experienced the boundary as confusing or too intense. You must rebuild confidence with a reward based reset.
Do this exactly:
- Pause unsupervised use for 3–7 days. Collar on only during training sessions.
- Lower the intensity and focus on learning the warning zone, not correction.
- In the safe zone, walk your dog on leash and reward calm steps.
Every few seconds: click or “YES”, then treat. - Approach the boundary slowly. The moment you get the warning: Turn back immediately toward the safe area. The instant your dog turns with you: click or “YES”. Move 10–15 feet deeper into the safe zone and deliver 3–5 treats
- Repeat 10–20 reps. End the session before your dog gets stressed.
Non negotiable: Reward happens in the safe zone, not at the edge. That teaches the dog that choosing to return is always the best deal.
The INVIROX wireless fence system can be paired to up to 3 collars.
You must enforce the boundary early, using training not punishment.
Correct fix: for 5 to 7 days, do daily leash “boundary reps” and reward the turn-back fast. When the dog hesitates near the edge, you recall to the safe zone and reward. Boundary creeping happens when the dog learns they can linger at the edge with no consequence.
Place the base station in the most stable, predictable location.
Correct placement rules: keep it away from heavy electronics, routers, and big metal objects, place it where your dog has a clean path to move around, then use Test Mode to confirm stable performance before switching to Working Mode. Bad placement creates unstable boundaries, which creates confusion.
Do not guess. Follow this checklist in order:
- Confirm your boundary distance is inside the working range you set.
- Move the base station away from Wi-Fi routers, Bluetooth hubs, and dense electronics.
- Test again using Test Mode, then return to Working Mode only after stability is confirmed.
Unstable signal equals inconsistent feedback, inconsistent feedback breaks containment training.
Yes, when introduced properly. The most common beginner mistake is expecting the fence to work instantly without training. Start with short, positive sessions: walk your dog near the boundary on leash, use the warning cues first, reward for turning back, and slowly increase freedom. A GPS fence is a training system, not magic.
Most of the time it’s not “GPS failed,” it’s one of these:
- Your dog didn’t understand the boundary rules yet.
- The boundary radius is too small during early training, so the dog hits it too fast.
- You started off-leash too early. Read user manual carefully.
Fix: go back on leash, increase training reps, expand the boundary radius at first, and only go off-leash after your dog consistently turns back on the warning.
Choose INVIROX GPS Wireless Dog Fence when you want containment over a larger outdoor area using a center point plus radius setup, no base station, and a range up to 999 yards, with ultimate accuracy of 1–2 yards (potentially less accurate in wooded areas).
Choose INVIROX Radar Wireless Fence when you want containment indoors and outdoors using a base station, with a boundary distance range of 10–120 feet using radar ranging technology, and a stated benefit of correction-free reentry.
Simple rule: large open spaces, go GPS, home or yard precision with a base station, go Radar.
(GPS , Radar)
If “safe return home” is a priority, the INVIROX Radar Wireless Fence specifically promotes correction-free reentry, meaning your dog can re-enter the safe zone without getting corrected when moving in the correct direction.
However, you still must do boundary training so your dog understands the warning cues and learns to turn back calmly before they ever feel pressured at the edge.
